The air feels a little crisper these last couple of days. People are wearing school colors for special dress up days at school or work. Weekend menus, viewing schedules, and wives are saying goodbye to husbands all over the country. College football is here. From the first firing of the grill, the crack of the beverage can, and the toss of the ball with the kid are all indicators of the coming season where College students determine our mood for a few months.
Excitement feels tempered for our Chants this year. Is it the fear of the unknown, lack of knowledge about the players, or the way the season ended that has us this way? We had the chance to speak to the good guys over at The Cavalier Connection twice this week. We welcomed them on The Strut and joined them on their show. It’s much of the unknown this year for many fans of college football…not just CCU.
What do we know? Our offensive line is a strength as well as the experience at linebacker, but we have two new coordinators. Are we making a choice after today’s game based on how things look? There are a lot of unanswered questions that lead us into the coming season.
