Meet the Hosts
Steve Childers aka “Chilly” is a 1995 graduate of Coastal Carolina. In addition to hosting The Strut, Chilly also attends as many games as possible and can often be seen in the press box at home games. He is currently serving as the Alumni Association President. Chilly and his family reside in the beautiful city of Charleston.
Travis Dannelly aka “TD” was a local kid reared in the shadow of the university with a dream to play college football or baseball. He fulfilled that dream for his hometown university from 2002 – 2006 under legendary Coach David Bennett. Blessed with 3 children Addison, Maddox and Paxton.His greatest achievement is somehow convincing his wife Kim, Class of ’23,to marry him! She also lets him go hunt, coach his kid’s team and tailgate too. He and all his Chanticleers live in historic downtown Conway, home of the Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers.
Joe Cashion aka “Info Joe” was for 10 seasons (2014-2023) the radio play-by-play voice of the Coastal Football program. He began his association with Coastal as the sideline reporter for the radio broadcast starting in the inaugural season of 2003, as he spent 21 seasons on the Chanticleer Sports Radio Network before retiring after CCU’s Hawai’i Bowl victory in 2023. His wife Lindy (’91) and oldest daughter Sarah (’20) both graduated from Coastal and their family, including youngest daughter Emilee, live in the countryside of Ridgeway.

You name the Coastal sport and we cover it. What began as a football only podcast, has blossomed into full sports coverage complete with interviews, stats, facts, and anything else related to CCU. We are proud to be a part of The College Huddle Network as Coastal’s representative there with over 100 other sports podcasts from around the nation.
